Finalists Selected for 2024 Demonstration Cohort
Grid Catalyst selected seven energy startups for the 2024 Demonstration Cohort. These startups will pitch to the Innovators Network in October 2023, seeking a match for a pilot project in 2024 to demonstrate the potential of their innovative solution. Read the finalist announcement.
Our Demonstration Cohort is catered for late-stage businesses that have a pilot-ready prototype or have already initiated demonstration or commercialization projects that will benefit from a higher visibility installation and from participation in our accelerator program. Startups qualify for our cohort if an Innovators Network partner selects them for development of a pilot project. Read more about the Demonstration Cohort program.
IN2 Innovation Incubator Partnership
The IN2 Channel Partners are an ecosystem of more than 60 cleantech, agtech, and sustainability focused incubators, accelerators, and universities that serve as an innovation pipeline for startup companies. Grid Catalyst joined the Channel Partner network in 2023 and was selected for a Channel Partner Strategic Award this spring. The Channel Partner Awards Program funds innovative and impactful projects that are intended to strengthen and diversify the cleantech and agtech ecosystems. IN2 Innovation Incubator is a partnership between Wells Fargo and the National Renewable Energy Lab.
Demonstration Projects are Key to Commercialization
Our program focuses on helping startups bridge the commercialization valley-of-death, to more effectively reach the market so their solutions can more quickly have an impact. Proving this technology works in real-world applications is a critical step to deployment.
Innovators Network
Connecting startups with energy and cleantech leaders in Minnesota is key to a thriving innovation ecosystem for our region. Innovators Network partners have an immense opportunity to catalyze startups, decarbonization, economic development, manufacturing, and regional competitiveness in the energy and cleantech sectors.For our 2022 Demonstration Cohort, 14 organizations supported recruitment and 6 were matched for demonstration projects.
