PowerNorth incubator

Grid Catalyst is kicking off 2023 with a new opportunity for startups through our PowerNorth Incubator. Minnesota has a robust energy economy and innovation ecosystem of established companies, vibrant startups, leading research centers, government support, and cross-sector partnerships. Minnesota is home to 18 Fortune 500 companies, many of which are leaders in energy and sustainability. Additionally, Minnesota has some of the most forward-thinking energy utility companies and a thriving clean energy economy. Demonstration Cohorts

The Grid Catalyst accelerator program focuses on demonstration and commercialization opportunities for late-stage startups. Demonstration cohorts are matched with established organizations that can be partners for real-world demonstration of energy solutions.

Meet the 2022 Demonstration Cohort.

Creating an innovation Hub

Grid Catalyst is working with partners across the region to advance our Energy Innovation Hub, which connects and supports earlier stage ventures who haven’t reached the demonstration stage required for our cohort. The Hub platform will provide resources and connections to support entrepreneurs, establish new businesses, develop market transforming technologies, attract new investors to the region, create trade opportunities, and diversify and bolster our clean energy workforce.

New programming and events will be announced in January 2023. If you are an innovator or entrepreneur looking to connect, reach out to our team for more information at
