Kevion Ellis Joins Grid Catalyst Team

Grid Catalyst is pleased to welcome Kevion Ellis to the Grid Catalyst team as our new program manager. He has valuable experience in workforce development, strategic communications, and public policy, which he will lend to building our new programs for entrepreneur education and access (Cleantech Innovation Pathways), and in support of our keystone demonstration cohort program.

Prior to joining Grid Catalyst, Kevion served as Vice President of Business and Talent Development at the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce. He also spent time lobbying at the Minnesota Legislature on a diverse range of topic areas including education, environment, and human services.

Kevion earned his B.A. in International Affairs: Political Economy and Africana Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. He is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of St. Thomas, with a focus on Digital Marketing and Innovation, Technology, and Analytics. He is especially interested in collaborative initiatives that bridge the gap between expanding clean energy jobs and fostering economic development in marginalized communities.

Grid Catalyst is expanding its programming in 2024, including our new Cleantech Innovation Pathways program, made possible by support from LaunchMN (and the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development), and strengthening our demonstration cohort program through support from Minnesota Energy Alley, which is led by Clean Energy Economy Minnesota (CEEM) and funded by the State of Minnesota.

Kevion will be an essential leader in helping us grow our programming and impact, with so many opportunities on the horizon for energy and cleantech innovation.
