​​The City of Minneapolis is serious about climate action. The City of Minneapolis has set ambitious citywide climate actions goals with a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2025 and an 80% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The City of Minneapolis also has a 100% citywide renewable electric energy goal by 2030.

In order to hit these aggressive goals the City of Minneapolis needs innovative technologies and partners to accelerate progress in our community. We look forward to being a key partner in the Grid Catalyst initiative. To support Grid Catalyst Start Ups we are offering Innovative Green Cost Share Program opportunities for cutting edge projects that reduce our greenhouse gas emissions in Minneapolis. 2022 Applications open in October 2021.
